Warwick, RI- The city of Warwick along with the Warwick Police Department held their annual National Night Out at the Oakland Beach Seawall.

Warwick’s National Night Out brought together many different groups. Some of the groups that were represented last night were the Warwick Citizen’s Police Alumni, Buttonwoods Crime Watch, Oakland Beach Crime Watch, Norwood Crime Watch, The Greater Lions Club, Rhode Island Blue Star Moms, AARP and many more groups. Warwick’s National Night had the American Red Cross, 211 and the Warwick Emergency Management Agency at the event.
For many of the children there were different activates for them to check out such as the bounce house and slide,Rock Wall, and the Warwick Fire Department ‘s Fire Smoke House.
The National Night out event also included a couple of demonstrations put on by the Warwick Police K-9 Unit and Warwick Fire Department. The First demonstration was the Jaws of Life by the WFD where they show how they take apart a car to remove people from it. The second demonstration was put on by the WPD K-9 unit which the K-9’s Viking and Fox showed us how they do felony car stops, find drugs, and recover lost items such as keys.
Warwick’s National Night out ended with a huge fireworks display!
